NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)

The NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) is a therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Lawrence Heller to address complex and developmental trauma. NARM integrates somatic (body-centered) therapies with relational approaches, helping individuals process trauma at a deep emotional level. By focusing on the healing power of authentic relationships—particularly the therapeutic relationship—NARM supports the development of healthier emotional patterns. This approach empowers individuals to live in alignment with their heart’s deepest desires, fostering greater connection, authenticity, and well-being.
